Although I specialize in newborn, baby and children portraiture, I love photographing couples, family groups, boudoir, teens and your granny!
- …baby/child scratches her face? No… I can deal with small scratches and blemishes in post-production of your images. No need to reschedule for minor blemishes. If, for example your little one gets a fat lip the morning of the session, yes you might want to reschedule. Call if you have any questions.
- …we are unwell? Probably… I would obviously like as much notice as possible but I want you to love your images and and if the little one’s are are heavy with a cold or generally unwell we should reschedule so they are looking their best. I’m pretty reasonable on finding a new date for your session.
You really should book your newborns session as soon as you know you would like one!! To avoid disappointment I highly recommend you book your session while you are expecting. I normally book in your due date and once you are fully booked in I will have you add me to the list of people you plan to contact when baby arrives. I save sessions weekly for my pre-booked babies so when I get the notification your little bundle has arrived I will look at what dates are free for you. We will aim to have you in for your newborn session within the first 2 weeks of baby arriving!
If baby has already arrived give me shout! Since some babies arrive early and some arrive late I might just be able to squeeze you in!
Yes, I can come to you for your session if you prefer. I do charge a little more for this for my time and there will be a little surcharge for travel depending on where you are.
We all know that baby is the boss and if he/she decides to appear before your bump session any monies paid for that shoot can be transferred to your newborn session.
Yes! I love to get you all involved if you would like to be.
Please feel free to discuss this with me in more detail but here are a few things you should bring along:
- Newborn session – Don’t worry about outfits and clothing for a newborn as I will most likely be photographing them in their birthday suit! You will want to bring a few extra feeds with you if you are bottle feeding and it wouldn’t hurt to bring extra nappies too. Mummy and daddy might want to bring a change of clothes ‘just in case’ they need something dry to wear home!
- For toddlers/children – BYOB! Bring your own Bribe! Ok, let’s call it an incentive! You will know what kind of treats and rewards your children are allowed so remember to tuck those into the bag with you. If siblings are being photographed, little ones might get a little bored so feel free to bring things to entertain them when they are waiting for their turn.
This is one that we can talk about when you are booking or as your session gets close. It is always good to coordinate and complement in your colours but you don’t want to be all matchy-matchy. It is fun to accessorize with maybe a scarf or hair band or a bow-tie.
You also want to think about layering and interesting textures. Pinterest is a wonderful source for ideas!

Yes, I have many props which can and will be used during your session but feel free to bring things along that you would like me to try to incorporate into your session.
We will set a viewing ordering appointment when you have your session this will normally happen 3-4 weeks after your shoot.
Yes, I do sell the full digital gallery if you would like. On spends over £800, we can negotiate buying fewer images.
